For those who don't know that is the Joint Security Area. It lies between the DPRK and ROK (North and South Korea)
A gift I want to give more than anything to the people of North Korea is freedom. But as you can see by my submission I have my doubts. I have no personal ties with North Korea. My whole family has lived in South Korea since the division. But I know people who have relatives in the DPRK and the pain that they express when they talk about them is heartbreaking. I want to give this gift that the pain on bith sides can stop. This is my gift, my wish, my dream.
FYI that structure behind Freedom is called 자유의 집 which literally means Home of Freedom.

A nice concept. Have you, by any chance, seen the film "Joint Security Area" (2000)? That film is very touching, made me actually shed a tear or two. Seriously, why can't both Koreas just let go of their complicated pasts and become friends?
